Writing is thinking
Unleashing (Remarkably) Young Writers
Kids who get ahead, tend to stay ahead (for life).

Why choose us?
We provide a gentle, consistent and highly effective programme to create extraordinary younger writers. The first level E-Bootcamp is suitable for kids 5 - 8 working towards excellence at the 7+ and 8+ exams, and more generally for parents keen to help their child get a head start in creative writing.
Why It Works (The Psychology & Science)
Neuro-Gamification & AI
Reading takes years to build vocabulary. InkGenius.Tech combines targeted AI with cognitive neuroscience to introduce tailored vocabulary, and lock them in via gamified memory loops.
Bite-Sized Consistency (Chunking)
Stop the dull, sub-optimal, one-hour tutoring blocks that burn-out your child. InkGenius.Tech works in daily, focused 15-to-20-minute sessions. Science proves that the brain learns exponentially faster when data is "chunked" into manageable milestones.
Radical Accountability
Stop blindly spending money, uncertain about the results. Watch every session from home. See the tangible progress day by day.
“Writing is thinking. To write well is to think well, and the better you think, the better you will write.”
—Samuel Johnson, English polymath who created the dictionary in 1755

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the secret to outperformance? (in sport or academia)
The short answer is 'a process of consistent and continuous improvement'.
In that formula, the degree of consistency (how often you practise) and the quality of each step of improvement (the improvement in each practice session) make the difference in the end result.
First the good news. Broadly, there is little distinction between the talents of children. Malcolm Gladwell's book 'Outliers: The Story of Success' is a well researched source to understand success.
In Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell explains that children born right after an academic cutoff date—making them the oldest in their school year—gain a massive, permanent advantage called the “Relative Age Effect”.
In early childhood, a maturity gap of 9 to 12 months is immense. Older children are physically, socially, and cognitively more developed than their younger peers. The core problem is that educators routinely mistake this temporary “developmental maturity” for “inherent talent”.
This mistake triggers the “Matthew Effect” (from the Biblical idea 'For to everyone who has will more be given'), where initial advantages compound over time:
Tracking: Older kids are labeled “gifted” and placed into advanced streams.
Resources: They receive better instruction, extra encouragement, and tougher material.
The Result: By high school and college, a meaningless birth-month advantage transforms into a real, permanent gap in actual achievement.
And so we see evidence of the secret to excellence: consistency - i.e. more games, and improvement, in each game they get better coaching.
That small advantage at 5 years old, continuously accrues as a result of the system structure into a life long advantage.
Once you are aware of these systemic features, as a parent you can set aside your doubts about your child's abilities, and focus on measures to deliver adequate and suitable resources.
What is the current solution to excellence at creative writing?
The current solution is to throw resources at your child. That consists of schools, tutors and parents. The unvarnished truth is that children who outperform peers have substantially more teaching resources.
Most children go to school. Some schools have smaller numbers per class room, however that is not the most material distinction.
Most parents attempt to support their child through private tuition. Tutors have a wide range of prices and quality. Of course, as with most industries, the higher priced tutors are expected to be more effective, however, even at the higher price range, quality is not guaranteed.
The most successful children have parents who directly support their kids. The more parental support the better. At the very top schools it is not unusual to see both parents invest time in directly engaging with their children.
And so it is easy to see why some kids are more likely to succeed than others. The degree of resources that determine how much 'practice' they get and secondly the quality of resources.
We have sought to optimise both.
What is the InkGenius.Tech response?
We have redesigned the system.
We threw out the legacy education map to reinvent it using the latest teaching techniques, neuroscience and AI. Instead, we broke learning down into 20 minute, daily sessions, gamified to be fun, building advanced vocabulary fast and correcting errors with each session. And the result is a smoother, faster learning experience.
That makes engagement accessible to any parent, regardless of their background.
We use AI to deliver the high quality language and techniques that you would expect from the best teachers.
And we use technology to deliver it to your home, so that 20 minutes per day is convenient for you.
Our goal is to make elite education more widely accessible, and to make education more enjoyable for children.
Who is this E-Bootcamp for?
This first E-Bootcamp is for students aged between 5 and 8 years old.
It aims to boost the exam outcomes of those studying for 7 Plus or 8 Plus exams.
More importantly, its goal is to imbue young writers with confidence, by rapidly improving their writing skill. This in turn will lead to an increase in self-esteem and so will set them on the path to writing more frequently.
Our short term goal is to improve your child’s academic results. Our long term goal is to be the first step in a virtuous cycle towards your child becoming a life-long writer and so a thinker - because writing is thinking.
How does the E-Bootcamp work?
Assessment: We set each student a writing task.
On-boarding Call: We will have a 15 minute on-boarding call with the parent to discuss the assessment and identify which aspects of the E-Bootcamp are suitable for their goals. If the E-Bootcamp is not suitable for your child, then you may cancel participation and you will receive a full refund.
4 Week E-Bootcamp: The E-Bootcamp is implemented across 25 minute sessions. The course includes 10 Live Sessions and 10 Study Sessions, for each of 20 weekdays over four consecutive weeks.
Feedback Call: We end the 4 Week E-Bootcamp with a 15 min call to discuss your child’s progress, our observations and advice, and next steps.
Continue Improving: Once the E-Bootcamp ends, if you find the InkGenius.Tech approach useful, you can stay subscribed and continue improving your child's writing.
How does the Free Trial work?
For those eligible for the Free Trial, the first week of the E-Bootcamp is free, and you will only be charged once you opt in to continuing the E-Bootcamp.
Whilst our application system requires submission of a credit card, no charges are applied to those accounts on the Free Trial until they opt-in to continuing the E-Bootcamp in the second week.
Will InkGenius.Tech complement my other teaching?
Yes. The InkGenius.Tech E-Bootcamp runs on an independent track, building up skills and correcting errors through daily sessions.
Other teaching resources, such as school or tutors will not interfere with the E-Bootcamp, and the E-Bootcamp should not have any effect on other learning resources.
What does it cost?
The InkGenius.Tech 4 week E-Bootcamp costs £140 for the 4 week, E-Bootcamp.
For that price, you receive our initial assessment, 10 Live Sessions, 10 Study Sessions, access to our support line and an end of course check-in with an adviser to discuss your child's progress.
How do I continue to help my child after the E-Bootcamp?
Creative Writing is a journey that continues beyond our bootcamp, exams and hopefully, beyond school.
The InkGenius.Tech platform allows users to continue their Creative Writing journey with us.
The exercises on the platform address other aspects of writing. Our other bootcamps cover more advanced aspects of the writing syllabus as your child's writing matures.
Once you join the InkGenius.Tech community, we hope you continue the journey of improving your child's Creative Writing.
Why 'Writing is thinking?'
It is an old idea. Famous scientists, theologians and philosophers have all expressed this view over centuries.
The reason is that it transforms an abstract idea into something real that we can see in print.
Once a proposition is put down on paper, it goes from intangible thought to tangible representation. That is something that can be grappled with, critiqued and amended.
It makes ideas accountable. No longer is it possible to say "that's not what I meant", for it is now down on paper in black and white.
That forces the author to take time to ensure it is clear and logical; that it has a structure and a purpose; that it means what they had intended to convey.
That process forces thought.
Becoming an expert at writing transforms you into a formidable person. You become proficient at conveying thoughts clearly, whether it is in essays in high school or in internal memos at work or when engaging in public speaking.
Like any skill, no one is born with it, but rather repeated practice from an early age leads to mastery.
“Writing forces you to explain your thoughts and make them more precise.”
—Paul Graham, founder of world's most successful technology accelerator
